Could You Cover a $1,000 Crisis?

Life is full of surprises and unfortunately, not all of those are pleasant. Having to suddenly come up with $1,000 or more for an unexpected bill definitely qualifies as unpleasant. While we all like to think that one-thousand dollars is semi-manageable, but the truth of the matter is that more Americans would have trouble coming up with that money on the spot, than you'd think.

According to a recent poll taken by the Associated Press, 75% of households whose annual income totaled less than $50,000 would have a great deal of difficulty coming up with so much so quickly. The numbers don't get any better, as 67% of people in the middle class ($50,000-$100,000) would have some difficulty coming up with $1,000 on the spot too. With such a bleak reality hovering over many houses, one can only ask themselves in disbelief "What can I do".

Cars tend to unexpectedly break-down, and at any given time, you could spend $1,000 on a fuel pump, $900 on your suspension, or $1,200 on fuel injectors, and those are just the smaller expenses. What happens when it's your transmission or worse your engine, those costs can start any where from $3,500-$4,500.

There's one way to help, however - Vehicle Service Contracts

It's no secret that automotive related issues go hand in hand with these types of financial crisis. Whether it be an accident that somehow goes beyond your conventional insurance coverage, a medical bill indirectly caused by a near-wreck, or simply a freak accident, you can't go wrong with having a vehicle service contract.

Here are just a few things one can do for you:

  • Cover vehicle repairs that go beyond an initial warranty
  • Guarantee a list of free services like maintenance, oil checks, and replacement parts
  • Help mitigate the cost of an auto accident alongside insurance
  • Provide additional peace of mind

One of the most positive factors of ownership is no doubt piece of mind. During your ownership experience if you can put on the miles without worrying about every real world situation, the excessively cold mornings, the extreme hot days, the stop and go traffic, your worries go away. To know you can jump in your car, turn the key, drive away and know that if some break down occurs, all you pay is that small deductible, your stress level is nonexistent! How much of a price do you put on that?!
